Good. Most of the room started there. Every move is taught from the start, slowly, then with the music.
“If you can't twerk or you haven't twerked before, you'll never feel stupid”
Most people do, the first time. You will not leave that way.
“kinda chic to show up to class alone and leave with a new friend”
Good. Nobody counts reps here. It is music, moves and a room that cheers for you.
“fitness should be fun”
What happens in the room
You always know what is coming next. Nothing is sprung on you.
Get loose and get the week out of your shoulders.
The main part. You learn the moves, then dance them.
Step in if you want to. Cheer if you would sooner watch.
Slow it down and stretch it out.
A quiet minute before you head home.
Who we are
Bami Kuteyi was 22 and working at Google. The gym at work never felt like it was made for her.
So after work, she taught her colleagues to twerk.
Nine years on, more than 30,000 people have danced with her. The idea has not changed: every woman in the room belongs there.
“I just wanted to create a gym space that was a bit more inclusive.”
“a room full of women cheering each other on”
One twerk at a time.
Book your spotNo. The class is beginner friendly, and every move is taught from the start. Dancers come for fun too.
